Steven Davies | Chief Executive Officer

Prior to Anglo Steve spent 12 years in the shipping services industry, most recently as CEO of the global maritime services arm of a UK based dry bulk shipowner overseeing newbuild supervision, the worldwide trading of the owned and managed fleet of dry bulk carriers, and maritime consultancy services to shipowners, operators, investors and financial institutions. A member of the institute of chartered shipbrokers, holding a LLM in maritime law and BscEcon in Economics.

 
 

AZEEZ OLALEKAN | CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Azeez joined Anglo from his previous role as Financial Controller of a UK based dry bulk shipowner and operator, overseeing group financial reporting, taxation, internal controls and compliance. Azeez has also gained experience as group reporting manager in previous roles for a U.S. listed shipping group with a diversified fleet. A member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, holding a BSc in Applied Accounting and a BSc in Computer Science.

peter paterson | OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Peter has spent over 40 years in the maritime industry, working for a variety of technical managers, both at sea and ashore, a major P&I Club and ship owners. He has broad experience in all aspects of ship technical and commercial operations, most recently for a ship owning fund. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and The Nautical Institute.

 
 

STUART PAYNE | assistant director (TECHNICAL)

Prior to joining Anglo Stuart spent 15 years in the maritime industry and 10 years within the heavy engineering industry, predominantly focusing on propulsion. He has substantial experience of marine projects, including large scale dry-dockings, conversions, retrofits, and distressed asset management across all vessel types. Stuart holds an MSc and Bsc in Mechanical Engineering.

STEVEN HALSTEAD | assistant director (COMMERCIAL)

Steve has spent over ten years in the maritime industry in operational, consultancy and commercial management roles. Prior to Anglo Steve was responsible for commercial management services within a UK based dry bulk shipowner and ship manager, overseeing a worldwide trading fleet of dry bulk, container and general cargo vessels. Holding a BSc in Maritime Business with Maritime Law.

 
 

RACHEL STACEY | management ACCOUNTANT

Prior to joining Anglo Rachel spent over 14 years in operational and management accounting roles, notably in two prestigious UK based multinational manufacturing companies responsible for budgeting and forecasting, management accounting and project accounting. Holding a BSc (Hons) in European Business.

Dorian Davies | Office & administration assistant

Prior to joining Anglo Dorian worked in widely diverse administrative capacities, having spent a number of years in the financial industry and a clerical capacity in engineering environments, involving both the administrative and technical aspects of previous roles with experience in statistics reporting, web-design, resource management, operational analysis and general office management.

 
 

BOB BISHOP | BOARD ADVISOR

Bob followed a conventional seagoing career before moving ashore into the position of Marine Director at the United Nations registered maritime NGO, INTERTANKO. Bob later joined Glasgow based ship manager Acomarit, which became V.Ships. Bob has acted as CEO of the ship management division that moved V.Ships from 150 to over 650 managed vessels. Serves on the Executive Committee of INTERTANKO, the Supervisory Board of the UK Chamber of Shipping and numerous Classification Society technical committees.

ALASTAIR MACAULAY | BOARD ADVISOR

Alastair has spent over thirty years as a commercial lawyer specialising in maritime projects and finance. Latterly he was partner in charge of Maritime and Offshore at international law firm Clifford Chance. Alastair has represented shipowners, financiers, investors and other stakeholders in a wide range of maritime related projects. A member of the Marshall Islands Quality Council and a consultant on matters of Marshall Islands law to law firm Campbell Johnston Clark.

 
 

DARREN MAUPIN | FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Darren is the Founder of Pilgrim Global ICAV, which manages funds on behalf of high net worth individuals, family offices, and institutions. Darren was an Analyst and International Diversified Fund Manager at Fidelity Management & Research Company in Boston, London and Hong Kong from 1998–2007.  He has served as a non-executive director of numerous other private and publicly listed companies in a variety of industries.

andrew broomhead | director

Andrew was the CFO and a Board Director of a Hong Kong based dry bulk shipowner and operator between 2003 and 2017. He was responsible for financial strategy, funding, accounting, investor relations and corporate governance. His work covered the management and development of corporate finances including secured debt finance, the Hong Kong IPO and subsequent equity linked funding. A Fellow of the ICAEW and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants, holding an MA in Natural Sciences from Emmanuel College Cambridge.

 
 

TONY MALLIN | FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Tony spent 20 years at Hambros Bank (latterly as Vice Chairman) responsible for the banking division and chairing the credit committee. He founded the vendor, project and structured financing operations as well as a private equity and an aircraft investment business. Tony founded STAR Capital Partners in 1999 with a strategy focusing on strategic assets. This initiative was one of the first moves towards infrastructure investing, which has now become an established asset class for institutions around the world. SCP closed its third fund at the hard cap and continues its successful investment activity across Western Europe.
